We're looking for a talented storyteller to create stories with Big 10 competition at Purdue University and our Friday night high school sports franchise.

 Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are required. This position includes management duties including scheduling a two-person sports department, assigning shoots, handling feeds and working with news managers. This job requires someone who can shoot, report, write, edit, produce, and anchor daily sportscasts. Ability to cultivate local contacts and generate local stories are a must.

 Successful applicant must have a four year college degree.

community news. Successful candidates must be able to shoot

compelling video and interviews, report, write clearly, voice and edit

stories for broadcast and post content to the web. Applicants must

You must be prepared to perform multiple tasks and be able to work

WLFI-TV seeks a television newscast producer.   Our next newsroom team member will deliver news important to viewers with local, accurate, and visual content.   WLFI’s newsroom is a team atmosphere and we’re looking for someone who can come in to play a pivotal role in our successful newsroom.   The primary purpose is to create, lead and organize content for multiple platforms using strong editorial, journalistic, organizational and communication skills.

 

Key activities:

 

  • Developing newscasts and local programs; responsible for writing, and showcasing
  • Working closely with news managers and assignment editors to determine content
  • Executing time-sensitive decisions
  • Responsible for oversight of live broadcast
  • Desktop editing

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field

WLFI-TV is seeking a motivated Account Executive. As an AE, you will be responsible for effectively maintaining and increasing revenue with established clients, as well as developing new business clients. Candidate must be able to develop relationships, have strong communications and organizational skills, and be able to create and deliver effective client presentations. AEs at WLFI are responsible for selling television and all digital platforms (WLFI desktop, app, tablet, and mobile). We will provide training in all areas to help grow your abilities and ensure success. A valid driver’s license, state-mandated automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record are also required.
